Our Federal Government client is seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join their team. This is a 12 month contract with 2x12 months extension option. The location of the role can be in QLD, ACT, VIC, NSW, SA and is open to Australian citizens with an active Baseline security clearance.
- 12 months contract with 2x12 months extension option.
- Hybrid (A mixture of in office and WFH).

Infrastructure Engineers implement, manage and retire the infrastructure (including physical, virtual, networking and cloud infrastructure) that supports digital services.
To be successful in this role the ideal candidate must:
- Design, deploy, and maintain public cloud environments, primarily Azure, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
- Develop and implement AI-powered solutions including the creation and lifecycle management of agents using Microsoft Copilot Studio. Leverage Azure AI Foundry to build advanced AI solutions, such as code analysis tools, supporting innovation and operational excellence.
- Facilitate cloud migration and adoption initiatives, assessing current infrastructure, identifying opportunities for migration to the cloud.
- Utilise tools and technologies such as Azure Logic Apps, Azure Service Bus, Managed File Transfer to provision scalable, reliable integration workflows.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for cloud and AI related issues, working closely with cross-functional teams to resolve incidents and minimise the impact on operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, business units, and external vendors, to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
Qualifications, accreditations, and experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, or relevant industry experience.
- Experience in engineer role, deploying and managing, cloud environment.
- Strong, technical expertise in cloud computing platforms, architecture, and services, with hands-on experience in deploying and managing cloud-based solutions.
- Experience designing and deploying AI agents (Copilot Studio preferred) and AI solutions (Azure Foundry preferred).
- Certifications in cloud computing (Microsoft preferred) and AI technologies are highly desirable.
