Senior .NET Developer (Contract)
Overview
Join a government program modernising a critical field operations platform and companion mobility solution. You’ll work in a small, high-performing .NET team to design and deliver new features that are robust, testable, and well-documented. The role offers variety, visibility with business users, and the chance to make a real impact at scale.
What you’ll do
- Design and build features for the core platform and field worker mobility solution
- Write high-quality, maintainable, testable code and supporting documentation
- Investigate and resolve customer-reported issues directly with business users
- Contribute to Agile ceremonies, workshops, and team collaboration
What we’re looking for
- 7+ years of commercial full-stack development with C# and .NET Framework 4+
- Experience with Entity Framework, SQL Server, and T-SQL
- Angular 10+
- Git with solid branching practices
- Track record delivering robust, testable solutions with clear documentation
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in Agile teams
Highly regarded
- Exposure to spatial technologies (ArcGIS, ArcMap, Leaflet, GeoJSON)
- Mobile web or Progressive Web App development
- Performance tuning and optimisation experience
- JIRA and Confluence familiarity
- Prior government or large-scale ICT program experience
Contract details
- Term: 13 October 2025 – 28 June 2026, with possible extension
- Hours: Up to 40 per week, standard business hours, with two weeks’ leave every six months
- Work model: Hybrid after a 6–8 week induction (typically three days in office, two days from home)
- Pay rate: $104.56 per hour + 12% super ($12.55)
- Total package: $117.11 per hour (pay + super)
