We are partnering with one of Australia's largest member-focused financial institutions to deliver a high-profile transformation initiative within its Insurance function.
This project is focused on payment recovery, strengthening operational processes, enhancing controls, and driving improved outcomes for members. We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead delivery across business and technology stakeholders in a complex, highly regulated environment.
About the Role
As the Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading a strategic initiative aimed at improving payment recovery processes, risk controls, governance, and operational efficiency within the insurance claims and payments domain.
You will work closely with senior stakeholders across business, operations, risk, compliance, and technology teams to ensure successful delivery of project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project delivery from planning through to implementation and transition.
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Drive stakeholder engagement across business, operational, technology, and executive teams.
- Oversee process improvement and control uplift initiatives.
- Ensure delivery aligns with governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks.
- Provide regular reporting to program leadership and steering committees.
- Coordinate vendors, delivery partners, and internal teams to achieve project outcomes.
About You
You will be an experienced Senior Project Manager with a proven track record delivering complex business transformation initiatives within regulated financial environments.
Experience in one or more of the following industries:
- Superannuation
- Insurance
- Wealth Management
- Banking
- Financial Services
Experience delivering projects involving:
- Insurance Claims
- Payments or Payment Processing
- Recoveries
- Remediation Programs
- Risk and Compliance
- Process Improvement and Operational Transformation
- Governance and Controls Uplift
Key Skills
- Strong project delivery and stakeholder management experience.
- Excellent communication and executive reporting capabilities.
- Experience managing projects within highly regulated environments.
- Strong understanding of risk, compliance, and operational controls.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive outcomes in complex organisations.
