SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER - BRISBANE, QLD
An opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a complex ICT program of work within a large QLD government environment.
This role will oversee multiple concurrent initiatives and work closely with senior stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams to drive delivery outcomes across a major portfolio of ICT projects.
THE ROLE
As the Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading delivery across a number of initiatives within a broader program of work.
- Managing multiple concurrent ICT projects across a complex program environment
- Developing and maintaining integrated delivery schedules and resource plans
- Establishing project governance, reporting frameworks, and delivery controls
- Coordinating vendors and managing implementation activities
- Overseeing procurement, implementation, and transition phases of delivery
- Managing risks, issues, dependencies, and delivery milestones
- Providing reporting and delivery updates to senior stakeholders and governance forums
- Coordinating across business units, architecture, finance, and procurement teams
- Supporting operational readiness and transition activities
IDEAL CANDIDATE
To be successful in this role, you will be and experience Senior Project Manager with a stron gbackgorund delivey complex ICT initiatives within enterprise environemnts.
- Proven experience delivering large scale ICT projects or programs
- Strong stakeholder management across executive, business, and technical teams
- Experience managing vendors, procurement processes, and implementation delivery
- Ability to take ownership of projects already underway and drive delivery outcomes
- Strong risk management, planning, and problem-solving capability
- Excellent communication skills and experience presenting to governance forums
- Experience working in complex, multi-stakeholder delivery environments
IDEAL EXPERIENCE
- Experience working within government or public sector environments
- Formal project management certifications such as PRINCE2, PMBOK, MSP or similar
- Exposure to enterprise ICT platforms and architecture environments
