Senior SAP BW & SAC Software Engineer (Developer) – LH-06007

Overview:
Are you a seasoned SAP reporting specialist with over a decade of experience in SAP BW, SAC, and modern analytics architectures? We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SAP BW & SAC Software Engineer to lead critical initiatives in transforming legacy SAP systems into a cutting-edge analytics environment. This full-time contractor role offers an exciting opportunity to drive innovative data solutions, support system migrations, and empower decision-making through advanced SAP analytics. • Contract role until June 2027 with 12 months extensuion
• Australian citizens with the ability to obtain a Baseline clearance
• Hybrid role ( 3 days in office and 2 days WFH)

Required Skills:

• Over 10 years of hands-on experience in SAP BW (legacy support and migration), SAP Datasphere (BW Bridge concepts), and SAP Analytics Cloud (reporting, dashboards, planning).
• Expertise in S/4HANA Embedded Analytics, including CDS Views, Analytical Queries, and Fiori apps.
• Proven ability to develop and implement data models, views, and integration strategies across hybrid SAP landscapes.
• Deep knowledge of modern data architectures, cloud platforms, data virtualization, and enterprise BDC patterns.
• Strong experience supporting or transitioning from SAP BW, with familiarity in SAP BTP’s role in analytics and extensibility.
• Skilled in data quality management, performance tuning, and system testing, including Azure DevOps for automation.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, translating business needs into technical solutions.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with SAP HANA data modelling concepts and S/4HANA finance/logistics data structures.
• Familiarity with SAP BTP’s analytics, integration, and extension features.
• Knowledge of public sector finance and planning processes.
• Proven mentoring or coaching abilities within SAP teams.
• Certification in SAP Data and Analytics solutions or project management.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 10+ years of professional SAP analytics support, with recent experience in cloud-based data platforms and enterprise data integration.
• Prior experience working within or supporting government or public sector organizations is highly advantageous.

Other Requirements:

• Must be able to obtain a Baseline security clearance.
• Flexibility to work on a hybrid basis (minimum 3 days onsite per week in ACT).
• Availability to commence from 1 July 2026, for an initial 12-month contract with potential extension.
• Ability to work up to 40 hours per week; travel or additional onsite presence can be discussed.
