About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Security Engineer with strong cloud and infrastructure expertise to support the delivery of major transformation initiatives. This is a hands-on technical role where you will contribute across design, build, deployment, and operational support, while driving best-practice security outcomes.

You will play a pivotal role in securing large-scale Azure environments, supporting migration and modernisation programs, and enhancing the organisation’s overall security posture.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across security investigations, solution design, and implementation
• Design and deliver secure cloud solutions in Azure, supporting migration and uplift initiatives
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance cloud and infrastructure environments
• Apply and promote security best practices across projects and operations
• Support complex infrastructure and cloud programs end-to-end
• Troubleshoot and resolve security and network-related issues
• Participate in on-call support as required
• Identify opportunities to optimise security services through automation and improved design
• Mentor and uplift capability within a team of Security Engineers
• Evaluate emerging security technologies and provide strategic recommendations

Skills & Experience Required

• 5+ years’ experience in Network Security Operations / SecOps
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure cloud environments and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, GitHub Actions)
• Proficiency in scripting: PowerShell, Bash, Python, APIs
• Experience with enterprise security tools such as:
  • Infoblox
  • Zscaler
  • Cisco Firepower
  • Palo Alto
• Deep knowledge of firewalls, PKI, VPNs, WAF, proxy services, DNS, and cloud security (Azure & AWS)
• Strong understanding of security frameworks, risk management, and best practices
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Proven ability to work across complex, multi-program environments
