Senior Software Engineer (Archer IRM)
- Start date: 1 June 2026
- Contract: Up to 12 months, with extension options up to 24 months
- Location: Canberra preferred. Adelaide or Melbourne may be considered
- Hybrid role
- NV1 security clearance is required
We are seeking multiple Senior Software Engineers with strong experience in Archer IRM to support and enhance an existing enterprise platform. This role will suit candidates with a background in secure systems, large-scale data environments, and agile delivery.
About the Role
You will support and extend an existing Archer IRM platform, contributing to both business-as-usual support and ongoing development. The role involves working within an agile delivery team to design, build, and maintain solutions aligned to security and risk frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop new Archer IRM solutions
- Enhance and maintain existing platform capabilities
- Perform patching, defect resolution, and system maintenance
- Translate business requirements into user stories
- Produce functional design documentation for sprint delivery
- Configure Archer IRM and manage integrations with other systems
- Contribute to sprint planning and agile ceremonies using JIRA
- Perform unit testing and support broader test activities
- Demonstrate sprint outcomes to stakeholders
- Support production releases, including after-hours activities where required
Technical Skills and Experience
- Strong experience with Archer IRM, including:
- IT Security Vulnerabilities
- IT Risk Management
- Issues Management
- Experience designing data models and building API integrations
- Experience managing integrations using REST APIs
- Experience working with large datasets, including performance tuning and reconciliation (tens of millions of records)
- Understanding of vulnerability and risk frameworks including:
- NIST (CVE, CPE, CWE, CISA-KEVC)
- Experience working in agile delivery teams
Knowledge Requirements
- Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF)
- Information Security Manual (ISM)
- Essential Eight
- NIST frameworks
Selection Criteria

- Experience developing solutions on the Archer platform
- Experience with data modelling and API integrations
- Experience working in agile project teams
- Application of cyber security frameworks
