We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across backend services and modern frontend technologies while contributing to high-quality, resilient software solutions.
As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering reliable services, collaborating closely with product and engineering stakeholders, and helping drive best practices across development, testing, and deployment.
What you will be doing
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using C# and .NET
- Build robust, scalable systems that support high-volume and business-critical workloads
- Work with PostgreSQL and Amazon Aurora, including data modelling, optimisation, and performance improvements
- Develop and maintain automated tests, including unit and integration testing
- Support and contribute to DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and secure coding standards
- Collaborate with the Product Owner and engineering teams to define technical approaches and delivery plans
- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical documentation
- Contribute to React-based frontend development where required
- Leverage modern development tools, including AI-assisted engineering tools, to improve productivity and code quality
What we are looking for
- Strong commercial experience building backend applications with C# and .NET
- Experience designing and supporting scalable APIs and distributed systems
- Hands-on experience working with PostgreSQL or Amazon Aurora
- Experience working in environments with strong DevSecOps practices and production ownership
- A strong focus on automation and testing
Nice to have
- Experience building React applications in production environments
- Background in financial services is nice to have
- Experience working across both large enterprise environments and fast-paced delivery teams
