We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Analyst to join a major Federal Government digital transformation program.
This opportunity is suited to a senior technical professional who can bridge business and technology, translate complex requirements into scalable technical solutions, and work collaboratively across enterprise delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities

Translate business requirements into technical specifications and system designs
-
Conduct system impact assessments and recommend solution approaches
-
Design API request and response structures to support system integrations
-
Analyse and document data mapping, transformation, and canonical data models
-
Produce detailed technical and systems documentation
-
Support implementation, testing, and deployment activities
-
Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, developers, and project teams
Essential Skills & Experience
-
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Systems Analyst in complex digital environments
-
Strong experience gathering and translating business and system requirements
-
Demonstrated ability to analyse complex business processes and deliver fit-for-purpose technical solutions
-
Experience producing technical specifications, integration documentation, and solution designs
-
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
-
Experience working within cross-functional Agile delivery teams
Desirable Skills
-
Experience within Federal Government environments
-
Exposure to enterprise integration and API ecosystems
-
Experience facilitating workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions
-
Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies
-
Experience with Microsoft 365, JIRA, Confluence, and Visio
Qualifications
Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Systems, or equivalent experience.
Security Requirements
Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain an NV1 Security Clearance. Existing clearance highly regarded.
Working Arrangements
Hybrid working model with a minimum of two days onsite per week in Sydney.
