Senior Technical Officer – End User Computing (AO4)

Pay rate:$83.65 per hour + superannuation
Work arrangement: On-site and remote support across multiple locations
We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Officer to provide hands-on technical support within a large, enterprise Microsoft environment.
In this role, you will deliver Tier 1, Tier 1.5 and Tier 2 end-user computing support, investigate and resolve technical incidents, maintain ICT environments and contribute to the delivery of technology projects.
You will join a customer-focused service delivery team responsible for maintaining reliable ICT services across multiple business locations.
Key responsibilities
- Provide on-site and remote technical support across multiple locations.
- Configure, install, monitor, support and manage ICT environments.
- Deliver Tier 1, Tier 1.5 and Tier 2 technical support through an enterprise service centre.
- Investigate, diagnose and resolve incidents within agreed service levels.
- Accurately triage and escalate complex technical issues when required.
- Support enterprise Microsoft Windows desktop and end-user computing environments.
- Manage devices and ICT environments using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager.
- Prioritise tasks, manage your workload and meet agreed deadlines and service levels.
- Apply ITIL-based service management processes and service quality standards.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, knowledge-base articles, work instructions and support procedures.
- Provide practical guidance and training to users on desktop environments and business applications.
- Mentor junior team members and promote consistent support standards and procedures.
- Contribute to ICT projects, service improvements and operational deliverables.
- Communicate effectively with users, technical teams and other stakeholders.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this position, you will demonstrate:
- Experience supporting enterprise Microsoft Windows desktop and end-user computing environments.
- Strong technical knowledge of ICT configuration, installation, monitoring, support and management.
- Experience using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager.
- Demonstrated experience investigating, diagnosing, remediating, triaging and escalating ICT incidents.
- Experience working within defined service-level agreements.
- Strong workload management and task-prioritisation skills.
- The ability to work effectively with limited supervision.
- Experience with ServiceNow and ITIL service management processes, or the ability to learn them quickly.
- Strong written communication skills, including the preparation of technical documentation and reports.
- Well-developed interpersonal, customer service, negotiation and collaboration skills.
- Experience training users or mentoring other ICT support staff.
- An interest in maintaining knowledge of emerging ICT technologies and products.
Additional requirements
The successful candidate may occasionally be required to:
- Work outside standard business hours.
- Participate in an on-call arrangement.
- Act as an escalation point during major service interruptions.
- Travel or temporarily work from other business locations.
A current C-class driver licence is highly desirable.
The successful candidate will also be required to complete mandatory pre-employment screening, including a Criminal History Check.
