Senior Test Analyst – Investment Systems (Aladdin Platform)

We are partnering with a large, nationally recognised financial services organisation to recruit an experienced Senior Test Analyst. This organisation manages significant investment portfolios and is currently delivering a major technology initiative.

This role will focus on system testing and System Integration Testing (SIT) across a complex investment technology ecosystem, ensuring seamless integration between internal systems and external vendor platforms within a shared Aladdin environment.

About the Role

You will analyse requirements, design test scenarios and execute integration testing across financial data flows, APIs and file-based interfaces. The role collaborates closely with technology teams, business stakeholders and vendors to ensure the reliability and quality of investment systems.

Key Responsibilities

Test Planning & Design

• Interpret system and integration requirements to design system testing and SIT test cases

• Develop test scenarios validating data movement across interfaces including positions, NAV, cash, security master and trade files

• Support preparation of UAT scenarios and test conditions with business stakeholders

Test Execution

• Execute integration testing across file-based (SFTP) and API interfaces

• Validate data ingestion, mappings and interface connectivity across systems

• Capture test results and maintain testing evidence aligned with governance standards

Stakeholder & Vendor Collaboration

• Work closely with internal teams and external vendors involved in SIT activities

• Coordinate testing activities across multiple systems and stakeholders

Defect & Quality Management

• Log and manage defects using Jira / Xray

• Participate in defect triage sessions, retesting and regression cycles

• Provide structured SIT reporting and progress updates

UAT Support

• Assist with UAT preparation and execution, including environment readiness

• Support business users in understanding system behaviour, outputs and data flows

Continuous Improvement

• Recommend improvements to testing processes and documentation

• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior testers on integration testing practices

Skills & Experience

Essential

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline

• 5+ years of software testing experience, including system and integration testing

• Strong experience validating financial data such as positions, NAV, cash, prices, security master and trade files

• Experience with SFTP file transfers and distributed system integrations

• Understanding of front-to-back trade lifecycle processes

• Hands-on experience with Jira / Xray for test management and defect tracking

• Strong analytical, documentation and stakeholder engagement skills

Desirable

• Experience with Aladdin Enterprise or similar OMS / PMS platforms

• Exposure to BQuant APIs or investment analytics outputs

• ISTQB Advanced Test Analyst certification

• Experience working within Agile delivery environments

• Familiarity with investment platforms such as Matrix, pControl or State Street integrations
