Our client is hiring a Service Lead to oversee day-to-day service delivery for Air Traffic Management operations in Brisbane. This is a high-impact leadership role in a complex, safety-critical environment where you’ll drive operational performance, safety outcomes, and team culture while ensuring services are delivered reliably and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead operational service delivery, ensuring safe, consistent, and high-quality outcomes
- Build a positive, accountable, and high-performing team culture
- Manage performance, coaching, and development across the team
- Identify emerging operational risks and ensure effective controls and escalation
- Manage workforce planning, including staffing coverage, leave impacts, and rostering needs
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness
- Contribute to budget management and operational planning, including variance awareness and cost control
- Partner with internal stakeholders to maintain seamless operational delivery
Required Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a complex, high-consequence or safety-critical environment
- Strong people leadership skills (performance management, coaching, engagement, culture-building)
- Solid safety and risk management capability, including timely decision-making and escalation
- Workforce planning and rostering experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence effectively
- Business acumen, including comfort with budgets and operational metrics
Nice to Have
- Experience within aviation operations, air traffic management, or comparable operational control environments
- Experience leading teams through change and embedding accountability
- Succession planning and capability uplift experience
Location & Other Requirements
- Location: Brisbane, QLD
- May involve a 7-day rotating roster and/or weekend escalation responsibilities
- Background checking will be required as part of the recruitment process
