Service Virtualisation Engineer
📍 Melbourne | 6-Month Contract (Extensions Likely)
💻 Hybrid Work Model – 2–3 Days in CBD Office

We are seeking a Service Virtualisation Engineer to join the team on a contract basis. This role will play a key part in shaping and uplifting our Service Virtualisation (SV) capability, providing technical leadership, reusable patterns, and hands-on expertise across a range of projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical and thought leadership on Service Virtualisation techniques and processes to cross-functional teams, managers, and stakeholders.

• Act as the central point of contact for technical SV-related questions and issues.

• Identify opportunities, deliver SV outcomes, and maximise the value of the capability.

• Own SV patterns and technical artefacts supporting the Service Virtualisation capability.

• Develop and maintain SV practices, standards, and documentation for consistency and scalability.

• Contribute to the uplift of SV capability by sharing knowledge and driving improvements.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in service virtualisation via SV tools (Microfocus SV highly regarded).

• Ability to establish reusable patterns for Cloud, 3rd party, and on-premise applications.

• Strong knowledge of protocols and messaging formats.

• Experience in test environment management.

• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, DevOps, and automation tools.

• Hands-on knowledge with one or more SV tools such as:

  • WireMock

  • SmartBear Ready API

  • Parasoft Virtualize

  • Broadcom Service Virtualization

  • Tricentis Tosca Orchestrated SV

  • Or any other Microservices/API development background
