SERVICENOW DEVELOPER

We are seeking an experienced and certified ServiceNow Developer to enhance and support an established enterprise ServiceNow platform within a complex and regulated environment. This role focuses on maintaining, improving and extending an existing platform, rather than greenfield implementation, and requires strong technical capability, governance awareness and a user focused mindset.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain, enhance and optimise an existing enterprise ServiceNow instance to ensure reliability, performance and scalability
• Design, configure and customise ServiceNow solutions using Workflow Studio, Catalog Builder, Flow Designer, Business Rules, UI Policies and Client Scripts
• Improve platform usability and user experience through Workspaces and UI Builder, delivering intuitive and streamlined interfaces
• Develop and maintain extensive Knowledgebase content, improving structure, searchability and accessibility in line with best practice
• Ensure all development aligns with governance standards, security requirements and upgrade safe principles
• Work within formal change and release management frameworks, including CAB processes
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, service owners and technical teams to translate requirements into effective solutions
• Produce clear and comprehensive as built documentation to support long term maintainability
• Provide technical leadership, guidance and mentoring to team members where required

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Proven experience supporting and enhancing enterprise ServiceNow platforms in regulated environments
• Strong understanding of platform governance, security controls and upgrade safe development
• Hands on experience across core ServiceNow development and configuration tools
• Experience working with knowledge management solutions in large organisations
• Familiarity with integrating ServiceNow with other SaaS platforms, including Microsoft technologies
• Experience working within structured change and release environments
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate functional requirements into delivered outcomes

CERTIFICATES

• ServiceNow Developer or Implementer certification is essential

Desirable

• Experience working within public sector or other highly regulated enterprise environments
