Are you passionate about building secure, scalable, and high-performing data platforms? We’re looking for an experienced Snowflake Engineer to join our Data Platform team. This role is central to enabling enterprise-grade data solutions across our Advanced Data Analytical Platforms.

About the Role

As a Snowflake Engineer, you’ll play a key role in designing, integrating, and optimising our enterprise data platform on Snowflake and Azure. You’ll work with solution architects, security teams, and business stakeholders to deliver robust, secure, and efficient data capabilities at scale.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Integration

• Collaborate with solution architects to integrate Snowflake with Azure cloud services.

• Build and maintain data pipelines using Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and Blob Storage.

Architecture & Platform Design

• Contribute to data platform architecture design.

• Ensure compliance with enterprise data strategy, security, and performance standards.

Security & Access Control

• Implement and manage Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and fine-grained policies in Snowflake.

• Design data classification-based access frameworks.

• Partner with security/compliance teams to ensure governance and auditability.

Performance & Optimisation

• Optimise Snowflake queries, storage, and costs.

• Monitor and troubleshoot platform performance.

Collaboration & Documentation

• Partner with data analysts, scientists, and business teams to enable secure data access.

• Produce technical documentation, access policies, and operational procedures.

Skills & Experience

• 5+ years in data engineering or cloud data platform roles.

• Deep expertise in Snowflake (schema design, query optimisation, access control).

• Strong Azure cloud experience in data integration & storage.

• Solid understanding of RBAC, data classification, and security best practices.

• Proficiency in SQL; Python/scripting is an advantage.

• Experience with CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Azure DevOps) is a plus.

• Strong communication and documentation skills.
