Predominantly Remote | If Melbourne-based: 2 days/week in CBD office

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Atlassian Software Developer to support the establishment of a new Atlassian environment for a high-profile client. This engagement will focus on implementing Jira and Confluence in a clean, streamlined configuration with minimal customisation and limited plugins.
You will play a key role in translating an already-defined strategy into a practical, well-structured, and scalable implementation.
Key Responsibilities

Configure and implement Jira and Confluence aligned to the client’s defined strategy.

Establish a robust, scalable Atlassian instance with minimal customisation.

Install and manage a small number of approved plugins.

Ensure best-practice setup for workflows, permissions, and structure.

Collaborate with senior stakeholders and technical teams to deliver a smooth rollout.

Provide clear documentation and knowledge transfer where required.
Required Skills & Experience

Proven expertise in Atlassian Jira and Confluence implementation.

Strong understanding of Atlassian architecture and deployment approaches.

Experience setting up environments with a configuration-first mindset (low customisation).

Ability to work from established strategy and execute independently.

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Eligible to work in Australia with Baseline Security Clearance (essential).
