ABN:$119.25 per hour inclusive of super

We’re working with a large Queensland based organisation seeking an experienced Power BI Specialist to support a high priority workforce reporting initiative. This is a short term contract suited to someone who can get up to speed quickly, work confidently with SQL based data sources, and deliver practical, fit for purpose dashboards that give leaders clear and accurate workforce insights.

In this role, you will be brought in to design and build Power BI dashboards using existing HR and workforce datasets, transform and model data from SQL sources, validate outputs, troubleshoot reporting issues, and ensure the final solution is well documented for handover. The environment needs someone hands on, technically strong, and comfortable translating business requirements into a reporting solution that works in the real world.

What you’ll be doing

• Build and implement Power BI dashboards using existing workforce data
• Extract, transform and model data from SQL based sources
• Validate data accuracy and resolve reporting issues or discrepancies
• Work closely with key stakeholders to confirm requirements and deliver a practical reporting solution
• Identify small automation or process improvement opportunities
• Document the dashboard build, data model and refresh process for handover

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience developing Power BI dashboards and data models
• Strong SQL capability across extraction, transformation and validation
• Ability to quickly understand reporting needs and deliver practical outcomes
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical outputs clearly
• Strong organisation and delivery skills in a tight timeframe environment
