Solutions Architect / Solution Designer - Baseline Clearance preferred
12-Month Contract (Likely Extension)
Locations: Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, or Brisbane (Hybrid – 4 days onsite in CBD)
Security Requirement: Australian Citizenship required; Baseline Clearance preferred

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect / Solution Designer to deliver high-quality technical solution designs aligned to approved architecture and business requirements. This role will translate business needs into practical, scalable, and secure technical solutions within a structured delivery environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed solution designs based on business requirements and approved architecture.

• Translate functional and technical requirements into clear design specifications.

• Define application components, integrations, data flows, and configuration details.

• Ensure alignment with non-functional requirements such as security, performance, scalability, and availability.

• Collaborate with architects, developers, and business analysts to ensure feasible and accurate designs.

• Produce and maintain solution documentation, diagrams, and technical specifications.

• Support development and testing teams by clarifying design intent and resolving issues.

• Participate in design reviews and contribute to improving design standards and practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years’ experience in solution design, technical design, or senior engineering roles.

• Strong experience producing detailed technical and solution design documentation.

• Solid understanding of system design, integrations, APIs, and data flows.

• Experience working within architecture frameworks and governance processes.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms and modern application architectures.

• Experience in Agile or hybrid delivery environments.

• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
