Talent Acquisition Specialist for Operations and Maintenance

Overview

We are seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to provide parental leave cover supporting our Operations and Maintenance portfolio. This role is all about delivering outstanding recruitment outcomes, with a particular focus on blue collar roles and high volume hiring. You will enjoy a structured start, with approximately one month of handover before taking full ownership, and there may be an opportunity for the right person to transition into a permanent position. If you thrive in fast paced environments and love connecting great candidates with real workforce needs, this role is for you.

Required Skills

  • Demonstrated experience in end to end recruitment, ideally across blue collar or high volume roles
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to partner effectively with hiring leaders
  • Ability to manage multiple roles and competing priorities in a high volume environment
  • Solid understanding of recruitment processes, including sourcing, screening, interviewing and offer coordination
  • Confidence building and maintaining positive candidate experiences from first contact to onboarding support
  • Strong administration and coordination skills to keep recruitment activity accurate and timely

Nice to Have Skills

  • Experience recruiting for operations, maintenance, logistics, construction or similar workforce environments
  • Familiarity with workforce planning concepts and supporting hiring demand forecasts
  • Experience partnering with supervisors and operational teams to understand role requirements and selection criteria

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Preferably previous experience in a talent acquisition or recruitment role
  • Experience covering high volume recruitment will be highly regarded
  • A relevant qualification in human resources, business or a related field is preferred but not required

Other Requirements

  • Availability to cover parental leave for the agreed period
  • Commitment to complete the approximately one month handover and transition into full ownership
  • There may be an opportunity for the role to move into permanent employment for the right person, subject to business needs
