Technical DBA – TimescaleDB / PostgreSQL
6-Month Contract | Melbourne | Hybrid

We are seeking a Technical DBA with strong expertise in TimescaleDB and PostgreSQL to support a large-scale time-series data environment. This role requires deep hands-on experience in database performance tuning, optimization, and scalable data architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and manage TimescaleDB hypertables.

• Perform chunk interval tuning to optimize performance and storage.

• Implement continuous aggregates for time-series analytics.

• Configure compression and retention policies.

• Conduct query optimization and PostgreSQL performance tuning.

Required Experience

• Strong PostgreSQL DBA experience, ideally with TimescaleDB.

• Deep understanding of database architecture, indexing, and performance tuning.

• Experience managing high-volume time-series data environments.
