About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Technical Writer to play a key role in documenting a new flagship, multi-platform IT system. This role is critical to supporting the implementation, adoption, and ongoing management of a business-critical system.
You will translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and accessible documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences. Your work will ensure stakeholders, from developers and analysts to senior leaders, can efficiently use and manage the system.
This role is ideal for a self-driven, problem-solving professional who thrives in fast-paced environments with evolving requirements and can produce high-quality documentation independently and consistently.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop user guides, manuals, knowledge articles, procedures, FAQs, and other documentation for a new multi-platform system
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, data specialists, trainers, change managers, and senior stakeholders to gather accurate information
- Review, interpret, and consolidate complex technical and business materials into accessible documentation
- Maintain document templates, standards, and quality controls to ensure consistency across all outputs
- Manage your own work schedule and priorities while delivering on tight deadlines
- Champion documentation standardisation, style, and alignment to government writing guidelines
Essential Skills & Experience
- 7+ years’ experience as a Technical Writer, ideally in digital transformation, multi-platform systems, or enterprise IT environments
- Proven ability to produce high-quality documentation for technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong knowledge of technical writing principles, documentation frameworks, and quality control
- Experience interpreting technical specifications, functional requirements, user stories, and policies
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and facilitation skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft solutions and data-driven systems preferred
Desirable Attributes
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, iterative, or agile environments
- Experience with CRM, ERP, or SaaS platforms
- Training or instructional design experience is a plus
