Technical Test Lead

Location: Brisbane or Melbourne (Hybrid)
Contract: 6 months initial with potential extension

About the Role

We are partnering with a large, enterprise-scale organisation undergoing a significant customer and claims transformation program. This is a high-profile initiative focused on improving end-to-end customer experience, modernising platforms, and delivering integrated digital capabilities across multiple business units.

We are seeking a hands-on Technical Test Lead to play a critical role in ensuring business outcomes are validated through effective testing practices across complex delivery streams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Business Acceptance Testing (BAT/UAT) across multiple delivery squads
• Work closely with business stakeholders to elicit end-to-end user journeys and translate them into actionable test scenarios
• Drive end-to-end validation across systems, ensuring coverage of integration points and dependencies
• Act as the bridge between business and technology teams, providing clear communication and guidance
• Identify, manage, and mitigate testing risks, gaps, and dependencies across squads
• Perform hands-on manual testing where required, supporting execution and defect management
• Contribute to an automation-first testing environment, including maintaining and executing automated test suites

Key Requirements

• Proven experience as a Technical Test Lead / Senior Test Analyst in complex enterprise environments
• Strong expertise in Business Acceptance Testing (BAT/UAT)
• Demonstrated ability to work directly with business stakeholders to define testable scenarios from user journeys
• Experience operating in multi-squad Agile environments, with a focus on integration and end-to-end delivery
• Hands-on testing capability – not purely managerial
• Exposure to modern test automation tools (e.g. Playwright or similar frameworks)
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and consulting skills
• Solid understanding of risk-based testing and end-to-end validation

Nice to Have

• Experience in insurance or claims transformation programs
