On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced Test Manager / Test Analyst to support a major SAP ECC6 to SAP S/4HANA finance transformation initiative.
This role will suit someone with strong SAP testing experience, ideally within finance or ERP environments, who can build test plans, develop test scripts, support UAT, manage defects and work closely with finance, ICT and delivery teams.
About the role
You will support a major finance transformation program moving from SAP ECC6 to SAP S/4HANA. The role will focus on ensuring finance requirements are properly tested, risks and defects are managed, and the business is supported through a smooth transition to the upgraded S/4HANA environment.
Key responsibilities
- Develop test strategies, test plans and test scripts
• Facilitate user acceptance testing across finance teams
• Support defect management from a finance business perspective
• Develop and maintain traceability from requirements through to testing and go-live
• Support configuration reviews, business process improvement and finance data mapping
• Assist with data migration planning, including cleansing, validation and reconciliation
• Participate in solution design workshops and walkthroughs
• Work closely with finance stakeholders, ICT teams and delivery partners
• Contribute to training materials and change management activities
• Maintain clear, accurate and audit-ready testing documentation
• Identify and escalate risks, issues and dependencies
What we are looking for
- Strong testing experience across SAP ECC6, SAP S/4HANA or large ERP environments
• Experience developing test strategies, test plans, test scripts and traceability matrices
• Strong understanding of test execution, UAT and defect management
• Experience working on large-scale SAP projects, ideally within finance environments
• Good understanding of finance processes such as budgeting, financial reporting, general ledger, chart of accounts, asset management, funds management, AP and AR
• Knowledge of SAP FI/CO modules
• Understanding of SAP S/4HANA capabilities such as Universal Journal and Fiori apps
• Strong documentation, analysis and problem-solving skills
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills across business, finance and technical teams
• Experience using tools such as Jira, Confluence or similar project tracking systems
Nice to have
- SAP S/4HANA fit-to-standard experience
• Queensland Government or broader government experience
• Finance, accounting, business or information systems background
• SAP certification or relevant testing certification
Ideal candidate
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on Test Lead or Senior Test Analyst who understands SAP finance environments and can confidently support testing across business, technical and delivery teams.
You will be comfortable creating structure, driving testing activity, managing defects and ensuring business requirements are properly validated before go-live.
