About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Test Manager to lead and coordinate end-to-end testing across a portfolio of enterprise projects. This role sits on the project delivery side and is responsible for establishing and driving integrated testing strategies that span multiple platforms, systems, and delivery teams.

Currently, testing activities are performed within individual platform teams. This position has been created to address the need for centralised coordination and oversight of testing across entire projects and solutions. The Test Manager will ensure that testing activities are aligned across domains, risks are managed proactively, and quality outcomes are achieved across the program.

This is a strategic test leadership role, focused on test planning, coordination, and governance, rather than hands-on testing execution.

Key Responsibilities

Test Strategy and Planning

• Develop and implement end-to-end testing strategies across multiple projects and technology platforms
• Define test approaches, frameworks, and governance processes for project delivery
• Create and maintain consolidated test plans covering multiple systems, integrations, and delivery streams
• Ensure testing aligns with overall project timelines, risks, and delivery milestones

Cross-Project Test Coordination

• Provide oversight of testing activities across multiple project teams and platform domains
• Coordinate testing schedules, environments, and dependencies across teams
• Identify testing gaps, risks, and integration issues early and work with stakeholders to resolve them
• Ensure consistent test practices and visibility across the project portfolio

Quality Assurance and Governance

• Establish testing standards, reporting, and governance structures
• Provide regular test progress reporting, quality metrics, and risk insights to project leadership and governance forums
• Support the continuous improvement of testing practices and frameworks across the organisation

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work closely with project managers, delivery teams, platform leads, and business stakeholders
• Facilitate collaboration across multiple technical teams to ensure effective end-to-end solution validation
• Provide expert advice on test strategy, quality assurance practices, and risk mitigation

Skills and Experience

• Proven experience as a Test Manager, QA Manager, Service Validation Manager, or Senior Test Lead within complex enterprise environments
• Strong experience developing test strategies, test governance frameworks, and end-to-end testing approaches
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate testing across multiple projects, systems, and delivery teams
• Experience working in large organisations or government environments with complex technology landscapes
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence across technical and business teams
• Experience working with test management tools such as Zephyr for Jira will be highly regarded
• Familiarity with Agile, hybrid, or large-scale program delivery environments
