Job description

Paxus is partnering with a leading financial services organisation who are currently undertaking a significant digital transformation program. One of the key focuses within this program is an upgrade to an enterprise application suite within their insurance stream. As a result of an increased pipeline of integration and deployment projects, an opportunity for a Business Analyst/Iteration Manager to join their Melbourne office on an initial 12 month contract has become available.

Role/Responsibilities

The purpose of this role is to liaise with stakeholders to obtain, analyse, communicate and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies and information systems. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Understand business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and effect solutions that enable the business customer to achieve their goals
  • Documenting the 'as is' and 'to be' states of user and system workflows and interfaces across the solutions being implemented by the program.
  • Performing gap analysis of the as is and to be stated to inform communications and change management.
  • Ensure functional and non-functional requirements are documented, tracked and validated or verified for solutions.
  • Assist with test case assembly, recommendations and data interpretation.

Skills/Experience

  • Strong Insurance Industry knowledge and experience
  • Thorough ability to analyse customer requirements and provide appropriate alternatives and solutions to meet those requirements.
  • Ability for both 'technical speak' and 'business speak' and able to translate one to another.
  • High quality process mapping skills with the ability to thoroughly document current and future state processes
  • Thorough knowledge of system development life cycle and project management practices
  • Able to facilitate Agile workshops and ceremonies where necessary
