About The Role
The Cloud IT System Analyst will design the new ingestion, storage and consumption patterns using Azure/AWS cloud native technologies and some third-party products, that adhere to the organisation's security and policy frameworks.
Day to Day duties include:
- Creating systems design documentation that clearly articulates the design intent, user experience, systems and business processes, issues and risks to achieve business outcomes
- Designing solution artefacts or cloud native and tools and products within the data and analytics eco-system
- Providing advice and analysis support using IT cloud services and products to resolve change requests, defects, risks and issues
- Conducting cost analysis, design considerations, staff impact amelioration, and implementation timelines
- Initiating negotiations with stakeholders during the design, delivery phase of business change; to understand system requirements and leverage expertise to resolve complex issues
- Developing system or process improvements and formulate recommendations for solutions that meet operational needs and deliver improvements
- Ensuring that design artefacts comply with the corporate project management and governance, data and security policies, the design, systems development and maintenance methodologies
- Providing quality assurance peer reviews to ensure that designs meet standards and business or architectural solutions
- Translating feature documentation, architectural and solution designs into technical design artifacts that create reusable patterns to be applied within the data and analytics applications
- Participate in agile ceremonies and provide input into breakdown of stories within features and identify tasks
- Assisting in planning, prioritisation and readiness of features for commitment prior to delivery
- Ensuring work management processes are maintained with Team Foundation Server (TFS)
- Participating in tech bridges for issue/bug resolution as required
- Working with enabling teams external to the program to design system integration for data and analytics solutions
- Responsible for owning and managing workloads and completing tasks on time and
- Exercising judgment to provide detailed technical, profession and/or policy advise in relation to complex problems
- Contributing to test scenario identification and test plans to ensure meets business requirements and solution intent
- Sharing knowledge and experience with peers and internal and external contacts and adapts communication still to accommodate different audiences
Our Ideal Job Seeker will have the following essential skills
- Experience in working with Azure/ ASW cloud native services
- Big data/analytics platforms (eg. Teradata Data Warehouse and/or Cloudera Hadoop),
- Proficiency in Agile project delivery methodology
- Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Software development life cycle
Skills in the following would be highly desirable:
- Viso
- Team Foundation Server (TFS)
- Power point
- Apache Hadoop
- Data modelling
- Redshift
- Azure Cloud services
- Big data analytics
**Candidates must have the ability to obtain Baseline Security Clearance if not already hold one**
