Our government client is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join their Project Officer on an initial 12 month contract. As the Data Engineer, you will support the deliver of a new records management solution through the management and delivery of data related activities/
Role/Responsibilities
- Design, develop, automate, implement and support complex data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data
- Work with subject matter experts and project team members to define, document and communicate data pipeline requirements and associated business rules; and conduct walk through sessions with stakeholders to obtain validation and approvals
- Perform data pipeline testing, reconciliation and exception reporting
- Identify data quality issues and recommend remediation actions.
Skills/Experience
- Demonstrated extensive experience in developing extract-transform-load (ETL) processes using Microsoft tools including SSIS and T-SQL.
- Highly skilled in building, testing, and maintaining data pipeline architectures, including architectures that make use of Web API connections (REST, SOAP).
- Highly skilled in database design and data modeling.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse and disseminate significant amounts of information across project teams and stakeholders with attention to detail and accuracy.
- High level oral, written and interpersonal communication skills including ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
