About the role
The role of an Electrical Engineer involves designing, developing, testing, and supervising the manufacturing of electrical equipment, systems, and components.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop systems for road tunnels, including lighting, fire suppression, ventilation, traffic management, and power distribution.
- Supervise the installation, operation, and maintenance of tunnel equipment, machines, and systems.
- Manage and supervise the works of contractors involved in tunnel projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications and timelines.
- Direct and lead workforce teams to ensure efficient and effective completion of tasks and projects.
- Conduct inspections and tests to verify the performance and safety of tunnel systems and equipment.
- Collaborate with other engineering teams and stakeholders to integrate tunnel systems with overall infrastructure projects.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards governing tunnel design, construction, and operation.
- Provide technical expertise and support to resolve any issues or challenges encountered during tunnel projects.
- Perform documentation and reporting tasks related to tunnel projects, including drawings, specifications, and progress reports.
Essential Criteria:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in designing, developing, and supervising tunnel systems, preferably in road tunnel projects.
- Strong knowledge of lighting, fire suppression, ventilation, traffic management, and power distribution systems.
- Experience in managing contractors and directing workforce teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work night shifts as required, typically one night per month and 2 weeks per quarter.
- Registration or licensing as required by relevant authorities.
