Flying Bark Productions, Sydney have teamed up with TAFE NSW to deliver an intensive 2-week course for anyone who loves coding, problem solving and would like to work in the rapidly growing CGI Animation industry as a Technical Assistant. Successful applicants will need to be available to attend the course in person at TAFE Enmore for 2 weeks (Monday – Friday) commencing in Mid-July 2022, exact date to be confirmed. 

*Please note this 2 week period will be unpaid but this is a unique opportunity where you will also be given the chance to apply for a position as a Technical Assistant starting ASAP on Marvel's “What If” series with Flying Bark, as well as being on their list for future opportunities.

What We'll Cover:
•    An understanding of steps and processes involved in a 3D animation production pipeline
•    Data management
•    Quality management, testing, debugging and feedback using Autodesk Maya
•    How to work with artists, technical teams and production teams

What We’re Looking For:
•    A passion for Computer Science, Film Production & CGI Animation
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
•    Good people skills and the ability to effectively interact with diverse groups
•    Proven ability and experience working in a team
•    Strong time management skills; Ability to multi-task and prioritise
•    Aesthetic eye and/or artistic background highly desired
•    Highly motivated to work in the animation sector
•    Ability to adapt to a high pressure, fast-paced, dynamic environment
•    To have a strong work ethic with dedicated and high customer service
•    Knowledge of scripting or programming languages such as; Python, Mel, C++, Javascript  
•    Knowledge of 3D animation software is advantageous

Eligibility
•    Must be an Australian Citizen, or Australian Permanent Resident, or Humanitarian visa holder or New Zealand Citizen
•    Living in NSW
•    15 years and over
•    Completed HSC, or equivalent  
•    Must be available and committed to the full 2-week course commencing Mid July 2022
