Overview
As the Java Tech Lead, you will work with business stakeholders, project managers and your team of developers to design and implement complex technological changes in the Java space.
You'll bring leadership qualities and confidence in managing a team of developers, imparting your expertise in the Java space to achieve business objectives in time.
Responsibilities
- Mentor a team of developers, guiding them to ensure high quality development
- Work with business stakeholders and project managers to firmly define objectives and communicate progress throughout the implementation of new technology
- Manage the software governance and review development processes, identifying areas for improvement and ensure pipelines align with DevOp principals
- Identify errors and lead fixes, ensuring risk is mitigated and any weaknesses in applications are patched appropriately
Essential Requirements
- Adept level of Java Development experience including J2EE, Spring and Web Services such as SOAP, REST and XML
- Solid understanding of SDLC including ability to work in a hybrid model (Agile and Waterfall)
- Leadership skills - prior experience in managing and mentoring a team highly desirable
- Familiar with Cloud platforms such as Azure and/or AWS
- Understanding of web security such as OWASP
