Project Manager - Defence Digital Design Program
Location: Canberra, ACT
Contract Duration: July 2025 - June 2026 (with potential for extension)
Security Clearance: NV1 min mandatory
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee project planning, progress reporting, risk management, and resource allocation.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of the program, including Army, APS, and contractor teams.
- Maintain modelling standards, oversee compliance, and drive continuous improvement strategies to enhance Army's operational capabilities.
- Provide written reports and presentations to senior leadership on project status, risks, and improvements.
- Monitor the program's resource and budget reporting and ensure all tasks are completed within time and cost constraints.
- Coordinate efforts between different teams involved in digital systems and integration.
Qualifications & Experience:
- At least 8 years of project management experience, ideally in ICT or Defence, with a proven track record of managing complex projects.
- A recognised project management qualification (e.g., AIPM, PRINCE2) or the ability to obtain certification within 6 weeks of engagement.
- Experience in Defence digital systems, systems engineering, and managing multi-disciplinary teams. Familiarity with Defence project management frameworks (e.g., PMBOK, PRINCE2, MSP, AGILE).
Additional Skills:
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Understanding of the Defence project environment, ICT infrastructure, and integration processes
