Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience, such as CCNP certification.
- At least 5-7 years of telecommunications experience within a large enterprise, carrier, or integrator, with a background in mining, industrial/oil and gas, or manufacturing.
- Expertise in supporting and guiding Industrial Control Networks, including Process Control IP Networks, Power and Utilities IP Networks, Train Control IP Networks, Mining Systems, and automation IP Networks.
- Strong knowledge of IP transport and transmission, including IP routing/switching and QoS planning and optimization.
- Proficiency with equipment from major vendors such as Cisco, RuggedCom, Hirschmann, and Schneider.
- Understanding of Agile principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs, objectives, and priorities.
- Capability to evaluate and prioritize incoming demands based on strategic alignment, resource availability, and ROI.
- Good understanding of mining operations and the value chain.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Knowledge of frameworks such as Kanban, Lean, and ITIL (ServiceNow).
- Self-motivated with a growth mindset.
- Experience in quality assurance and governance roles.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to explain your reasoning and influence decisions.
- Familiarity with platforms like SolarWinds, Cisco DNAC, and Cisco ThousandEyes.
