- Drive the advancement of delivery processes, engineering decisions, and platform solutions to align seamlessly with the overarching strategic architectural vision.
- Ensure that platforms, systems, and services are meticulously designed to effectively support the realisation of service objectives, with a special emphasis on resilience and scalability.
- Identify, nurture, and spearhead the implementation of opportunities for automation or optimisation, with a keen eye on cost, availability, and performance.
- Lead the comprehensive implementation of platforms and services, guiding them from conceptualisation to production while maintaining rigorous documentation and procedures for ongoing support.
- Cultivate a culture of knowledge-sharing and collaboration among fellow engineers to optimise the team's collective skills and capabilities.
- Champion simplicity while nurturing innovation to achieve distinctiveness, continuous improvement, and support teams in agile adaptation to change.
- Engage with various stakeholders and internal teams, including Tech Leads, Product Owners, etc to effectively execute initiatives and deliver products, leveraging lean and agile project management methodologies.
Skills for success:
- Extensive experience in a similar role where you've had success delivering enterprise wide platform solutions.
- Showcase exceptional knowledge and hands-on experience in applying Agile and Lean methodologies.
- Demonstrate extensive expertise in collaborating with Cloud-based services, covering SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS.
- Exhibit strong scripting skills, particularly in Python.
- Display familiarity with ITIL and proficiency in IT Service Management best practices, specifically in Service Design, Service Transition, and Continual Service Improvement.
- Bring solid experience to the table in implementing and managing Linux systems, leveraging automation frameworks like Ansible or Puppet.
- Showcase demonstrated knowledge of operating systems and a track record of developing and delivering platform solutions across diverse environment.
