Job description

In this role, you will work engage with various business units across the organisation, to ensure effective design, build and testing to effectively coordinate data migration activities, including the design, build, test cycle, cutover, rollback strategies etc.

As part of your role, you will also provide guidance and support to other Migration Specialists on Agile practices and ways of working.

Requirements

  • Navigate data challenges related to ETL from legacy systems to SAP S/4HANA
  • Develop, maintain and manage data related artefacts required for delivery across each phase of the program - includes the management / creation or updating of multiple interdependent data migration design documents, build plans and conversion activities
  • Take a lead role in managing data defects related to data migration activities, performing root cause analysis comparing source and target data, to reach an appropriate remediation or solution.
  • The development and management of data solution artefacts
  • Risk and issue management and escalation related to data defects.
  • Provide comprehensive support data defects resulting from migration activities
  • Providing accurate and timely status reporting
  • Maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders and senior management; and
  • Effectively deliver data preparation and migration activities to a successful outcome.

Skills required:

  • Proven experience managing the end to end SAP migrations in complex ICT projects, with a SAP ERP / EAM focus
  • Experience in migrating legacy data into SAP
  • Recent experience of managing trial conversions, data cleansing, mapping, data reconciliation and data resolution activities
  • Experience in being hands on with data migration design and build activities
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting deadlines in a high pressure, fast paced, environment.
