Key Responsibilities of the Senior IT Business Analyst:
- Lead the discussion and capture of business needs, requirements, scope, and business processes for IT projects - this role will focus on in-flight projects across the Enterprise portfolio.
- Facilitate and lead workshops and interviews with subject matter experts and stakeholders from all levels of the business.
- Create and deliver key collateral as required by the project and its stakeholders, including user stories, business requirements documentation, presentations, as-is and to-be process documentation, and wireframes.
- Contribute to test scenarios and test cases, business cases, etc.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist project managers in identifying, quantifying, and mitigating project risks and issues.
- Perform the role of Scrum Master in one or more concurrent agile squads.
- Collaborate with solution architects, security analysts and change analysts to expedite project design and delivery.
Business Analysis Skills:
- Business situation analysis: can produce diagrams and flowchart representations of real-world business situations and functions.
- Requirements definition and management: define, validate, and manage requirements through the delivery life cycle.
- Feasibility assessment: collaborate in the definition and evaluation of business change options to meet the defined requirements.
Key Role Experience:
- Previous experience delivering business analysis activities for Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Workday (HCM or Finance).
- Previous experience working in an agile-structured team and as an agile Scrum Master across one or more squads.
- Competency using Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Microsoft PowerPoint to produce and present reports, lists and visualisations.
- Competency using popular agile toolsets: Jira, Confluence, Draw.Io.
Business Analysis Work Experience:
- Experience working as a senior or mid-level business analyst.
- Experience performing business analyst responsibilities in Waterfall/PRINCE2/Agile projects - eliciting requirements, creating documentation, managing requirements from definition through to the testing process, etc.
- Experience working with and managing business stakeholders, application owners and external vendors.
- Experience leading workshops and interviews.
Candidate Soft-Skills:
- Dealing with Ambiguity: Can effectively cope with change; can shift gears comfortably; can act without having the total picture.
- Perseverance: Pursues everything with energy, drive, and a need to finish; seldom gives up before finishing.
- Presentation skills: Is effective in a variety of oral and written presentation settings (including online and in person): one-on-one, small, and large groups, with peers and business leaders.
- Time Management: Uses his/her time effectively and efficiently; concentrates his/her efforts on the more important priorities.
