Work within a key federal government agency where you will deliver robust ICT capabilities while ensuring the utmost security of day-to-day technical operations. You will maintain and enhance their Microsoft environment to support critical services for Australians nationwide.
Project and Services: As the Senior Server Standard Operating Environment Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in providing technical support for project build, testing, and solution deployment activities across a variety of Microsoft technologies. Your work will be integral to maintaining and securing their ICT infrastructure.
Primary Technologies: Windows Server, Windows Desktop, Applications Packager, Rapid 7, Broadcom Data Centre Security Engineer.
Key Tasks/Duties/Requirements:
- Maintain and support their Microsoft environment end-to-end.
- Provide third-level support for users and managed personal computing devices.
- Monitor, tune, and maintain ICT software components, performing system testing as required.
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams in hardware design, procurement, and deployment.
- Execute regular maintenance and updates of supported products.
- Participate in problem management, root cause analysis, and technical change management.
- Prepare technical and corporate documentation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues and implement business solutions effectively.
Key Skills and Experience:
- 3-5 years working in Microsoft solutions design/engineering.
- Strong knowledge across various Microsoft products including Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Windows Server, Windows 10, Office, SCCM, Teams, and Intune.
- Experience maintaining and supporting end-users in a complex ICT environment.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to produce SOPs and user guides.
About you:.
- Minimum of 3+ years' experience in SOE migrations, projects, and implementation.
- Minimum of 3+ years' experience in Windows Server management, projects, and implementation
- Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager including SCCM.
- Strong technical knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy Management, RBAC, AppLocker, Server imaging.
- Strong scripting ability (PowerShell, VBScript).
- Experience with facilitating large and enterprise-scale software deployments, including Vrealize automation.
