Job description
Project Objectives
- Develop a secure, accessible, and visually engaging SharePoint Online site aligned with UX/UI best practices
- Improve navigation, usability, and integration across custodial and community correctional teams
- Enable facility-specific and targeted communication
- Ensure compliance with government digital standards and web policies
Key Responsibilities
Consultation & Design
- Collaborate with internal communications and stakeholders to refine the Information Architecture (IA)
- Present low-fidelity wireframes that support IA and project objectives
Development & Implementation
- Build and configure a newSharePoint Online environment with:
- Sub-sites for each custodial facility and central office
- Secure, role-based permissions
- Integrated document libraries with filtering and search
- Migrate content from the legacy SharePoint system (content updates managed internally)
Handover & Support
- Deliver training and transition knowledge to internal communications staff
- Provide documentation for ongoing maintenance
Deliverables & Timeline
- Start Date: Within 2 weeks of contract award
- IA & Wireframes: Delivered within 2 weeks of commencement
- Final Site + Content Migration: Completed within 4 weeks after IA approval
Selection Criteria
Technical Expertise
- Proven experience in SharePoint Online redevelopment or implementation
- Background working with government or enterprise environments
- CMS knowledge (e.g., Squiz Matrix) desirable
- Familiarity with public sector digital frameworks
Communication & Collaboration
- Strong remote collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to align digital content with user needs and communication goals
Security & Governance
- Experience designing secure, role-based access models
- Understanding of secure public sector digital systems
Tools & Methodologies
- Agile-aligned project delivery approach
- Skilled in wireframing and digital architecture tools
Other Requirements
- Mandatory: Valid National Police Clearance (NPC)
- Remote Option: Available with consistent video and email collaboration
