Job description

A wealth management company is looking for an experienced software developer to join their excellent growing team.

The Role

The Software Engineer would be responsible for the ongoing development of software, delivering against specifications to meet the needs of advisers and clients. This role requires critical thinking in how to technically implement the requirements to ensure the features and functionality of the software are scalable and enable future growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver technical enhancements through design, coding, testing, and delivery of software to required specifications
  • Active participation in discovery sessions where applicable
  • Work closely with stakeholders and end-users to illicit solution requirements and make key design decisions
  • Root cause analysis and problem resolution
  • Strong contribution to team discussions
  • Undertake technical analysis
  • Follow and contribute to team principles, procedures, and practices

Some of the tech skills required:

  • JavaScript (ES6), Angular/React, Typescript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, SVG
  • Java EE
  • REST APIs
  • MongoDB, MySQL
  • Elastic search

To Be Successful in This Role You Will Possess:

  • Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent industry experience.
  • 2+ years of software development experience.
  • A passion for technology, resulting in extra-curricular projects (i.e., GitHub or Stack Overflow profile).
  • An aptitude for problem-solving, both in terms of technical and non-technical solutions
  • Experience in Agile development practices
  • Front-end, back-end, or full-stack knowledge and experience
