Job description

Our Federal Government client are seeking to engage a Broadcom (Symantec) Data Centre Security Engineer to design solutions with a view to improving the current implementation of Data Centre Security and guide the team on end to end best practices.

The role will require you to demonstrate leadership skills and expertise on Windows Server, Windows Desktop, Applications Packager, Rapid 7, Broadcom (Symantec) Data Centre Security Engineer.

The role provides remote work flexibility.


Key Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

* Perform BAU operations, maintenance and management of Broadcom (Symantec) Data Centre Security
* Planning, scheduling, and implementing periodical patch, bug fixes and major system upgrades for Broadcom DCS.
* Document technical knowledge in the knowledge database (Standard Operating Procedures), update detailed design and as built documentation.

Mandatory Criteria

  • Minimum of 3+ years' experience in the daily operations and management of Broadcom (Symantec) DCS, including but not limited to identify, isolating and resolving the root cause of the technical support issues, implementing daily health checks and configuring / managing reporting and knowledge transfer to other support staff.
  • Must hold current Negative Vetting (NV1) security clearance

Desirable Criteria

  • Strong technical understanding of Broadcom (Symantec) DCS, including configuring and optimising the product.
  • Strong understanding of the Essential Eight Application Control mitigation strategy, and the applicable Information Security Manual (ISM) controls, and how to implement them within Broadcom (Symantec) DCS.
  • Experience in planning, scheduling, and implementing periodical patch, bug fixes and major system upgrades for Broadcom (Symantec) DCS.
  • Experience in upgrading from Broadcom (Symantec) DCS version 6.7.x to 6.9.
