Job description

Lead Document Migration Specialist to SharePoint Online

Are you a document management specialist with a knack for tackling complex technical challenges? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy collaborating with diverse teams? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!

Our client, a leading government agency, is undergoing a digital transformation and seeks a highly skilled Technical Consultant to spearhead the migration of a large volume of critical documents to SharePoint Online

In this role, you will be the mastermind behind this crucial project, leading the design, execution, and successful transition of documents to SharePoint Online.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a comprehensive document migration strategy.
  • Develop and execute scripts to automate the migration process.
  • Ensure documents are securely transferred and organised within the new system.
  • Implement robust security protocols using industry best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that may arise during migration.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Maintain alignment with the organisation's data governance and change management processes.
  • Prepare and present project documentation to relevant approval bodies.

Qualifications:

  • Must be based in Brisbane during the time of application.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in document migration and cloud storage solutions (SharePoint Online).
  • Proven track record of leading complex technical projects.
  • Expertise in Microsoft PowerShell and scripting languages.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security principles and data access controls.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
