Job description

Role Overview: Our Federal Government client is embarking on a business-led 'transformation and uplift' program, transitioning from SAP ECC6 to SAP S4 HANA and supporting technologies. We're seeking highly skilled technical writers to play a pivotal role in this exciting journey.

Your task is to develop comprehensive documentation that meets self-service standards for the department and ensures smooth escalation processes for Tier 1 service delivery. You'll dive deep into products and services, translating complex information into simple, engaging content that resonates with a diverse audience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive documentation meeting self-service and escalation standards.
  • Translate complex information into simple, engaging content.
  • Craft user-friendly content tailored to target audience needs.
  • Build a detailed database of reference materials through research, usability tests, and design specifications.
  • Evaluate and innovate content to meet specified standards and enhance user experience.

Selection Criteria:

Essential Criteria:

  • Demonstrated technical writing experience on large, complex ERP implementation and/or upgrade projects.
  • Minimum Baseline security clearance

Desirable Criteria:

  • Demonstrated technical writing experience in one or more of the following value streams:
    • Human Resources
    • Finance
    • Procurement
    • Travel and Expense Management
    • Enquire to Resolve
  • Experience inICT domains such as:
    • Infrastructure
    • Network
    • Applications
    • Security
    • Other

Working Arrangements: Preference is for candidates located in Canberra, ACT. Successful applicants are required to work from the state office for a minimum of 3 days per week which is located in Woden.
