Job description

Do you have a passion for Active Directory and enjoy tackling complex challenges?

We're seeking a highly motivated Active Directory Engineer for a 9-month contract. You'll play a key role in assisting with the remediation and decommissioning of our legacy Active Directory environments.

What you'll do:

  • Analyse and assess current AD environments, identifying areas for improvement and remediation.
  • Resolve issues preventing required platform upgrades across 5 AD domains.
  • Upgrade Domain Controllers, AD Forest and Domain functional levels to supported versions.
  • Implement core platform management tools to ensure upgraded environments meet security, reliability, performance, and other key requirements.
  • Provide technical troubleshooting for AD platforms until decommissioned.
  • Plan, document, and execute migration and decommissioning activities.
  • Collaborate with AD consumers to migrate services to the target environment.
  • Decommission legacy domains and infrastructure.
  • Report project progress and status to the Engineering Manager and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and strategic engineering goals within the team and platform.

Who you are:

  • 5+ years of experience conquering Active Directory from every angle (engineering, administration, support).
  • Expertise in AD architecture, design, implementation, and troubleshooting - you're the ultimate AD whisperer.
  • Experience upgrading and migrating AD environments - you know how to navigate the ever-evolving landscape.
  • Experience deploying and using a wide range of AD management and security tools - you're a master of the toolbox.
  • Experience handling complex, large-scale AD environments - multiple domains, forests, sites, trusts are no sweat!
  • Experience working with legacy and unsupported AD environments - you're a pro at resolving issues and vulnerabilities.
