Job description

A leading State Government Client based in Western Sydney area is looking for an ICT Business Analyst. Initial 4 months contract role. APPLY NOW!!!

About the role:

Design tools and implement processes to identify, analyse and facilitate improvements to business systems, processes and workflows aligned with the overall business and strategic requirements and the Department's operational plans.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Coordinate and undertake research and analysis of best practice on processes and activities to ensure internal and external services are delivered efficiently, business outcomes are measured and reported as required and systemic and emerging risks are promptly identified.
  • Review the business unit's strategies to enable to deliver services in a cost effective manner and to meet current and future requirements.
  • Develop and implement strategies to monitor service provider usage and capture funding and operational performance data to ensure service delivery partners are performing to a high standard.

Key Challenges:

  • Identifying emerging issues and suggesting potential improvements to business processes and workflows in consultation with external and internal stakeholders in an environment of ongoing change.
  • Keeping up-to-date and maintaining in-depth knowledge of economic and financial analysis methods, techniques and tools, relevant IT systems and application of these in a human services context.

To be successful for the role, one must have:

  • Minimum 6+ years' as a Business Analyst to support IDS in assessment of the ICT Asset environment.
  • Experience with Governance - reviewing current state processes, policies and procedures across stakeholders for information communication and technology (ICT) asset class.
  • Experience with Finance - reviewing current state ICT financial asset data and requirements across systems, policies and processes.
  • Experience with Data Analysis - reviewing current state ICT data and understanding preliminary future state requirements.
  • Experience with People - understanding ICT asset stakeholders, roles/responsibilities and requirements.
  • Experience with Systems - review current state ICT asset systems and data gap analysis.
  • Experience with High Level Roadmap - summarise review and develop roadmap to enhance maturity.
