Job description

Our client is currently looking for a Change Manager to join them on a contract initially for 8 months. Working within a large complex project within this government department, and other projects as required, you will be part of a high performing, dispersed team, operating within a dynamic environment undertaking the delivery of administration activities across a range of key areas in accordance with departmental processes. By working with us, you will have the opportunity to work with staff from across the business unit and department to assist in resolving issues and ensuring operational requirements are met while contributing to team goals.

Your Role:

  • Apply the department's Enterprise Change Management Framework and Methodology for the people side of change supporting the Forestry Systems Continuity Project and other projects as required.
  • Lead change management activities in relation to the Forestry Systems Continuity Project, a large scale digital transformation initiative.
  • Provide change management support as needed to the Resource Management and Systems team.
  • Develop change management strategies and plans based on the enterprise framework and work with key internal delivery partners to ensure effectiveness of activities.
  • Identify potential people-side risks and anticipated points of resistance and develop specific plans to mitigate or address the concerns.
  • Develop and manage the ongoing implementation and refinement of key outputs such as (but not limited to): stakeholder assessment/analysis, change impact analysis, readiness assessments, risk assessments, leadership coaching plans, resistance plans, change toolkits, transition plans, training and development plans, training material, communications plans, artefacts, and learning reference material.
  • Develop relevant metrics to define and measure success.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of engagement, communications and change management.
  • Provide regular reporting on progress and performance, and present findings in a logical and easy to understand manner.
  • Plan, Lead and Facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders as required.
  • Research analyse and prepare briefs, reports, and responses.
  • Provide consultation and advice to the project team and Resource management and Systems team.
  • Contribute to building the internal change management capability through knowledge sharing, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Travel to other office locations, either locally or interstate, on an as-needs basis.
