Job description

  • 12 month initial contract
  • Adelaide CBD Based
  • Must hold current Australian Work rights
  • Must be based in Adelaide and be able to work onsite

As the Data Cleansing Lead you will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating the data cleansing work for Program
  • Working closely with project members, vendors, architects and technical specialists to plan and direct the cleansing of the data for conversion and archiving of information from various existing applications
  • Working closely with the leading the data conversion technical team to support the activity and the development of technical deliverables.
  • Ensuring the system administrators of the data cleansing is documented and conforms to IS&T standards.
  • Responsible designing the data cleansing tasks to support the conversion framework and methodology to ensure appropriate data is available
  • Creating associated system documentation for the data cleansing, archiving and data quality software components.
  • Ensuring the creation and enforcement of security standards and procedures in relation to the data cleansing.
  • Ensure the Data Conversion team adopts the standard IS&T approach to application development and maintenance, along with incident management in line with industry standard SDLC and ITIL methodologies.


To be considered/secure this contract you must be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Demonstrated ability to provide direction and oversight to members of a project team on data cleansing, archiving and data quality.
  • Ability to provide technical documentation relating to project data cleansing strategy, business processes,and data quality metrics using appropriate tools.
  • Advanced level of analytical and conceptual thinking skills and an ability to gather and interpret information.
  • Understanding and practical experience managing in a SDLC and ITIL environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technology solutions in business terms, establish rapport and persuade others.
  • Proven ability to impart information and communicate complex technical ICT concepts in a professional manner and to a wide range of audiences, including the development of documentation to a high standard.
  • Proven ability for strategic, analytical, and innovative thought and action, and the ability to think laterally when analysing and identifying business solutions.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills with the ability to manage a team of staff, determine priorities, set goals and achieve agreed outcomes.
  • Knowledge of the principles of Equity and Diversity requirements.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and commitment to WH&S legislation, principles and practices; and risk assessment in accordance with the WH&S Act (2012), Regulation, approved codes of practice and AS/NZS ISO 31000:2009 Risk Management - Principles and Guidelines.


Skills/experience in the following will be highly regarded:

  • Experience working in a managed service or blended environment.
  • Knowledge of the State Records Act.
