Job description

Our global mining client is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer with a strong data focus to join their high-performing team. You'll be contributing to the development of a data-driven software solution that helps mining operations optimise load and haul productivity.

This is a senior-level role with a stronger emphasis on data-heavy, back-end development, offering the opportunity to contribute both technically and strategically in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

What You'll Be Working On:

  • Developing and enhancing a new productivity-focused application within the broader platform
  • Extracting and transforming operational data from Fleet Management Systems (e.g., truck movements, haul cycles)
  • Work with relational databases like Postgres or MSSQL, including complex queries and large datasets.
  • Designing backend logic and data workflows to support operational insights
  • Building intuitive data visualisations and workflow tools that drive decision-making
  • Collaborating closely with mining SMEs, product owners, UX designers, and engineers in an agile setting

Tech Stack:

  • Languages: Python, TypeScript
  • Databases: Custom SQL-based systems, data extraction pipelines
  • Frontend: React or similar frameworks (desirable)
  • Other: Data visualisation tools, internal analytics and data platforms

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience in full stack development, with a strong back-end focus
  • Expertise in SQL, Python, and TypeScript
  • Demonstrated experience working with operational data-ideally within the mining or resources sector
  • Strong data visualisation and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Perth-based with full Australian working rights
