Overview
Work for a leading global insurer with a huge focus on data, undertaking significant investment in their Data Group who's looking to consolidate and uplift their technical capabilities.
This specific stream focusses on data governance - in particular, data definitions, data standards and data governance.
There are several major initiatives - from a recent acquisition of a business, regulatory and transformational programs of work.
As part of this role, you will be expected to fulfil the following duties:
Engage senior stakeholders from technology and the business
Work within Regulatory guidelines (APRA etc.)
Design and write new data governance policies and controls.
Perform end to end data lineage including reviewing controls and risk
Simplify information and decipher jargon for the broader team
To be successful for the role you must be able to demonstrate the following:
Minimum of 5 years developing and implementing data governance framework, policies, processes, and practices
Strong financial services/banking experience
Have experience of 2 major data programs
Deep knowledge of data including tools such as Collibra
Excellent communication skills, ensure people are on board
