Are you an experienced Defect Manager with a passion for improving delivery outcomes and maintaining quality in large-scale Agile programs? We're currently seeking an EL1-equivalent Test Manager to lead defect lifecycle management on a high-impact federal digital transformation program involving Salesforce solutions.
This is a hybrid opportunity suitable for professionals with a strong background in Agile delivery, QA governance, and stakeholder engagement. The position will see you working across up to 10 Agile squads, fostering a collaborative quality-first culture and driving the continuous improvement of testing and triage practices.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the end-to-end defect lifecycle across multiple Agile squads.
Run daily defect triage meetings and collaborate with developers, testers, and product owners.
Analyse defect data to identify trends, risks, and quality improvement opportunities.
Maintain consistent severity classifications in line with business risk models.
Act as the central point of contact for defect reporting, communication, and escalations.
Collaborate closely with release and environment teams to ensure effective defect resolution.
Use Jira and Xray to manage defect workflows, dashboards, and traceability reporting.
Create and deliver weekly defect metrics reports (e.g., aging analysis, KPIs).
Champion defect prevention and continuous quality improvement across delivery squads.
Mentor junior QA and testing professionals on defect management best practices.
Essential Requirements:
5+ years of defect/test management experience in large-scale Agile delivery environments.
Deep hands-on experience with Salesforce (e.g., Service Cloud, Experience Cloud), Jira, and Xray - including dashboard creation, filters, and traceability.
Strong grasp of defect metrics (severity, priority, fix/reopen rates) and their implications in SIT, UAT, and production support contexts.
Proven experience leading defect governance forums and coordinating across large delivery teams under pressure.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with an emphasis on quality, accountability, and calm decision-making in fast-paced settings.
ISTQB Certification (Foundation or Advanced level).
Experience in Government, Disability, or Health sectors.
Familiarity with CI/CD environments and integration testing.
