Job description

Our client is a large telecommunications business, and are widely respected as one of the largest and most capable suppliers of radio communication networks and equipment. They are currently seeking a Project Engineer, with a background of electronic engineering, specialising in radio equipment.

This role is based in Adelaide CBD with flexible WFH on offer, but will require travel to mine sites throughout South Australia. The successful person will also need to hold a current C-Class Drivers' License.

The role:

The function of the Project Engineer: Preparing tenders for new projects including pricing, procurement and engineering design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertakes all activities in line with company policy - reports all near misses, incidents according to the procedures, promptly and clearly with all the required detail
  • Highly experienced with Digital and Analogue voice mobile radios systems
  • Highly experienced with antenna systems for VHF and UHF, including leaky feeder design
  • Experienced and can specify in designs, duplexers, combiners and filters
  • Design microwave radio links
  • Design, configure and commission of Private LTE networks
  • Prepare, track and complete detailed project documentation, including bills of materials, calculations and drawings
  • Attend project meetings with stakeholders
  • Monitor post-contract procedures and controls
  • Prepare estimates for variations to contracts in progress

Ideally we are looking for someone with at least 10 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, and holds a professional membership of a relevant engineering association.
