Job description

Paxus is partnering with a global leader within the Energy and Resources sector who are currently undertaking a large technology uplift program. As part of this program, an opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join their PMO on a 10 month contract has become available.

Role/Responsibilities

As the Senior Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of both in-flight and greenfield projects and will see you responsible for a variety of technical projects across their infrastructure and application portfolios. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Project management and reporting using the defined methodology and tools of IS&T PMO
  • Performs the day-to-day management of the project and has accountability for managing the project within the approved constraints of scope, quality, time and cost, to deliver outcomes that meet user expectations
  • Work closely with the Business Partner team, the project team including the technology partners, key business stakeholders and the PMO to ensure clear alignment on project objectives, deliverables, timelines, accountabilities in delivering user centric outcomes
  • Manage relationship with team members, customers, vendors, and all stakeholders and provide the necessary visibility, direction and leadership to all parties
  • Responsible for outlining the products to be produced during workshops and ensure that members of the group are clear on responsibilities and accountabilities

Skills/Experience

  • Previous experience leading either IT infrastructure or development projects within an enterprise organisation
  • Strong understanding of Project Management principles and processes with the ability to adhere to a pre-defined delivery model
  • Formal Qualifications in PMBOK, PMP, PRINCE2 and/or Agile
  • Professional communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate in a concise and undiluted manner
  • High quality stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to engage at multiple levels of an organisation and developed influential relationships with internal and external teams
